MERLE F. LITTLEFIELD, JR
SANGERVILLE, Merle F. Littlefield, Jr. 74, died April 11, 2001 at his home in Sangerville. He was born Nov. 3, 1926 in Guilford, son of Merle Sr. and Eva (Whittier) Littlefield. He served in the US Navy during WWII. After the war he worked in the Greenville area cruising timber and working in the woods. In the late 50's Bill moved to Sangerville and worked at Hardwood Products Co. in Guilford until his retirement in 1995.

He is survived by 2 sons and their wives, Roger and Sharon Littlefield of Arkansas and William and Kathy Littlefield of Guilford; 4 daughters and their husbands, Karen and Andrew Todd and Ronda and George Sprague all of Guilford, Linda Littlefield of Sangerville and Bonnie Lindsay of Guilford; two brothers, Drexel Littlefield of South Carolina and William Littlefield and his wife Dorothy of Abbot; a sister and her husband Edwina and David Morrill of New Hampshire; 17 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

Friends may call Fri 6-8 at the Crosby & Neal Funeral Home, 21 Oak St., Guilford. Funeral services will be held Sat 10am at the funeral home with Joseph Pensiero, former director of the Good Samaritan Mission in Monson, officiating.
