MICHAEL F. WALKER
PLYMOUTH – Michael F. Walker, 59, passed away Thursday, April 21, 2005 at Eastern Maine Medical Center after a courageous battle with cancer. He was born May 8, 1945 at Hartland a son of Frank and Elva (Russell) Walker. He graduated from the Unity-Freedom High School, Class of 1964. Mike was married to the former Glenis Varney on June 28, 1969. He loved hunting, fishing, camping, and making bean hole beans. He worked in the woods for Alton Gray, at the Edward’s Company in Pittsfield, for Henry Varney Salvage Company in Detroit, and drove trucks for Saturley’s in Newport, a pulp truck for Art Graves in Etna, for Highway Transportation in Brewer, and was currently employed by the H. O. Bouchard Company in Hamden, where he recently received the H. O. Bouchard Driver of The Year Award.

In addition to his wife of Plymouth, he is survived by three sons and two step-sons, Linwood Walker and wife Tammy of Etna, James Walker and wife Mary of Burnham, Aaron Walker and wife Rebecca of Plymouth, David Wilcox and wife Connie of Etna, Ricky Wilcox and wife Diane of Pittsfield; four brothers, Gerold Walker and wife June of Kittery, Raymond Eldridge and wife Judy of Stetson, Dale Walker and wife Liana of Troy, Robin Walker and fiancée Linda Gagnon of Plymouth; a sister, Anita (Walker) Latham and husband Ronald of Plymouth; 9 grandchildren; one great grandchild; many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a brother Phillip.

Friends may call from 6-8 P.M. Sunday at the Crosby & Neal Funeral Home, 117 Main Street, Newport, where funeral services will be held 2 PM Monday, April 25th, with Pastor Al H. Worden officiating. Burial will follow the service at Sawyer Cemetery, Plymouth.
