MICHAEL L. CYR
CORINNA—Michael L. Cyr, 68, died December 18, 2008 at a Dexter nursing home. He was born December 13, 1940 in Exeter, a son of Lewis and Annie (Grindell) Cyr. He served four tours in the U. S. Army during the Vietnam War and was a member of the Corinna Post #73 American Legion and the Corundel Raiders Snowmobile Club.

Michael is survived by his wife of 37 years, Julia (Young) Cyr of Corinna; 2 daughters, Cathy-Jo and husband Matthew Mottram of Meriden, CT, and Leilani and husband Damien Pickel of Dexter; a brother, Dana and wife Alicia Freese of Newport; 2 sisters, Charlotte and husband Orlo Nye of Corinna and Jane Schissler of Newport; 5 grandchildren, Zachary, Bryce and Jacob Mottram and Madisen and Alaena Pickel.

A memorial service will be held 1 p.m. Friday, December 26th at the Crosby and Neal Chapel, 68 Exeter Road, Corinna, with the Corinna American Legion officiating.

Burial will be in the Maine Veteran’s Memorial Cemetery, Augusta. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Corinna American Legion, P. O. Box 1, Corinna, ME 04928.
