OBITUARIES

NAZIER J. CLUKEY SR.
SANGERVILLE, Nazier J. Clukey Sr., 87, died March 25, 2006, at Mayo Regional Hospital in Dover-Foxcroft. He was born January 4, 1919, in Sangerville, son of Dolar and Annie Clukey. He served in the U.S. Army infantry and was a twice wounded Purple Heart veteran of WWII. He was a communicant of Holy Family Catholic Church in Sangerville. Nazier worked as a mechanic at Clukey and Page Garage in Guilford, and later for Hardwood Products Company in Guilford. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, snowmobiling and wood working.

He is survived by 2 sons, Nazier Clukey Jr. and his companion, Donna of Sangerville and Leonard Clukey Sr. and his wife, June of Guilford; 2 daughters, Barbara Pickens of Sangerville and Deanna Federowicz and her husband, John of Connecticut; 5 grandchildren, Brock Clukey and his wife, Jane of Andover, Maine, Holly Clukey of Sangerville, Leonard Clukey Jr. of Guilford, and Kiev Federowicz and his wife, Gail of Connecticut, and Dotty Pickens of Guilford; 2 great grandchildren, Emma Clukey and Kes Federowicz; 2 brothers, Galen Clukey and his wife, Marjorie, and Nelson Clukey and his wife, Rita, and a sister Winifred Daigle all of Dexter. He was predeceased by his wife, Anita (Cleaves) Clukey in 2001; 3 sisters, Sylvia Payne, Joyce Clukey, Lillian Clukey; 2 brothers, Angus Clukey and Fernald Clukey.

Friends may call 3 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM, Friday March 31, 2006 at the Crosby & Neal Funeral Home, 21 Oak Street in Guilford. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10:00 AM Saturday April 1st at Holy Family Catholic Church in Sangerville with the Rev. Fr. James Robichaud officiating. Spring burial will be in the Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in Dexter. The family would like to thank the staff at Hibbard Nursing Home and Mayo Regional Hospital for their care, and a special thanks to Philip Meek aka Kojak. Graveside committal services for Nazier J. Clukey Sr., 87, who died March 25, 2006, will be held at 2:00 PM, Monday, May 22 at the Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in Dexter with the Rev. Fr. James Robichaud officiating. Arrangements by Crosby & Neal, Guilford.
