OBITUARIES

JOSEPH ELI STEFANIK, SR.
WILLIMANTIC - Neil D. Patterson, 83, died April 8, 2002 at his home in Willimantic. He was born Feb. 23, 1919 in Willimantic, son of Lynwood and Maude (Davis) Patterson. He served in the US Army during WWII and was in the service for 5 years, 4 months and 3 days. Neil was serving in Pearl Harbor at the time of the attack. After the service, he lived both in Maine and New Mexico and enjoyed farming. He was predeceased by his wife Faye Patterson in 1999.

He is survived by 3 sons and their wives, Linwood and Suzanne Patterson, Michael and Susan Patterson of Arizona, Warren and Sally Patterson of Brewer; 3 daughters and their husbands, Patricia and Victor Hewett of Virginia, Sherry and Wally Hinckley of E. Winthrop, Karolyn and Michael Gary of Abbot; 12 grandchildren, Joe Ray, Kathy Kingston, Teresa Nelson, Tess Burdin, Quinten Patterson, Cassandra Patterson, Justin Patterson, Michael Patterson, Kyle Patterson, Warren Patterson, Michael Gary, Daniel Gary; 8 great grandchildren, Kimberly and Corey Ray, Michael and Allison Kingston, Carrie, Ryan, Kristy and Brenden Nelson; a brother and his wife, Paul and Jan Patterson of North Carolina, several nieces and nephews.

Friends may call 6-8 pm Thursday at the Crosby & Neal Funeral Home, 21 Oak St., Guilford. Funeral services will be held Friday 1 pm at the funeral home with Rev. Lloyd Rozelle officiating. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery in Willimantic.
