Norma "Normy" L. Hersey
BLANCHARD-, Norma "Normy" L. Hersey, 71, of Blanchard, died March 16, 2012, at her residence surrounded by her family after her long fight with cancer. She was born in Abbot November 18, 1940, daughter of Eugene and Alice (True) Trefethen.

She loved to fish, play her music, and sing with her extended family at the Harmony Community Center. She spent a lot of time with many great friends and family.

She is survived by her spouse of 48 years, Sterling J. Hersey and their dog, Muffin; a daughter, Tammi and her husband, Chuck of Monson; a son, Larry of Guilford; a grandson, Loren and his fiancé Nikki of Lewiston; a granddaughter, Chelsea and her boyfriend, Craig of Parkman; a sister, Joyce Knowlton of Blanchard; and a brother, Merlin of CT; several nieces and nephews; and a very special extended family member, Mike Libby of Blanchard. She loved all of her many friends.

A potluck celebration of her life will be held at the Mt. Kineo Masonic Hall in Guilford, 3 P.M. Saturday, April 7, 2012. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent in her memory to Community Health and Counseling Center, 1093 W. Main St., Dover-Foxcroft, ME 04426 or Lafayette Cancer Center, 33 Whiting Hill Rd., Brewer, ME 04412.
