NORMAND H. GAGNON
NEWPORT –Normand H. Gagnon, 78, died September 26, 2002 at his Newport residence. He was born April 11, 1924 at Fall River, Mass. a son of Henry and Blanche (Surprenant) Gagnon, Sr. Normand was discharged in 1956 from the United States Air Force with the rank of Tec. Sergeant; and was a veteran of World War II. After working for a time in the family grocery store he was employed as a burglar and fire alarm installer. Normand moved to Newport in 1989. He loved to hunt and fish, was a life member of the National Rifle Association, and was an avid card player.

He is survived by 3 brothers, Henry of Somerset, MA, Rene of Westport, MA, and Leoand Bourne, MA; several nieces and nephews.

Graveside funeral services will be held 1 P.M. Monday, September 30th, at the family lot, Notre Dame Cemetery, Fall River, MA. Donations may be made in his memory to the American Heart Association, P. O. Box 346, Augusta, ME 04330. Arrangements are by Crosby & Neal Funeral Home, 117 Main Street, Newport.
