SANGERVILLE- Pauline E. “Polly” Leland, 80, died December 4, 2008, at Hibbard Nursing Home in Dover-Foxcroft. She was born February 14, 1928, in Guilford, daughter of William and Eleanor (Wilson) Andrews.

Polly and her husband, Harold owned and operated a farm in Sangerville where they raised seed potatoes. She was a member of the East Sangerville Grange and served in several of the offices. Her expertise as a seamstress was a result of classes at the local Extension Service until Polly finally became the teacher. She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Harold W.
