PETER E. TAYLOR
PITTSFIELD—Peter E. Taylor, 54, died December 18, 2008 as a result of a logging truck accident in Corinna. He was born June 25, 1954 in Skowhegan, a son of Elwin and Beverly (Wyman) Taylor.

He was educated in Belfast and Harmony schools. Peter was an avid hunter and fisherman and enjoyed camping and spending time with Megan and the boys. He was an excellent cook.

Peter was a self employed truck driver for many years. He and his wife also owned and operated a construction and logging company.

In addition to his wife, Paula of Pittsfield, he is survived by 4 sons, Christopher and wife Rhonda Taylor of Freeport, Michael and wife Sarah Taylor of Tampa, FL, Andrew Taylor of Palmyra and Matthew Bowman of Pittsfield; a daughter, Megan Bowman of Levant; 3 brothers, Derek and wife Kathy Taylor, Scott and wife Donna Taylor and Chad and wife Brenda Taylor, all of Norridgewock; 2 sisters, Debra and husband Timothy Lawrence of Harmony and Doris and husband Glen Cohen of Norridgewock; 2 grandchildren, Ashley and Miriah Taylor of Freeport; a number of aunts and uncles, including a special uncle and aunt, Herman and Shirley Taylor of Skowhegan.

Friends may call from 6 to 8 P.M. Tuesday, December 23rd at Crosby & Neal, 117 Main Street, Newport.
