OBITUARIES

PHILIP L. AUSTIN
SANGERVILLE, Philip L. Austin, 69, died December 21, 2005, at a Dover-Foxcroft nursing home. He was born September 24, 1936, in Newport, the son of Earl and Doris (Holt) Austin. For the past 17 years, Philip made his home with Keith and Audry Page on their farm in Sangerville, and was just like one of the family. He helped Keith on the farm, loved fishing, horses, and was a participant in the Special Olympics. Philip had a heart of gold and all those who knew him soon grew to love him.

He is survived by a brother, Wayne and wife Barbara Austin of Sarasota, Florida; 2 nieces, 1 nephew; special friends, Keith Page, Jeanette and Harry Cormier, Kathy and Larry Hooper, Douglas Page, Joey Page, Harland Parker, and Ed and Jeanne Adams. He was predeceased by 2 sisters, Earline Smith and Geraldine Avery, and by Audry Page.

A graveside service will be held in the spring at the Sangerville Village Cemetery. Those who wish may make donations in his memory to the Charlotte White Center, P.O.
