PHILIP R. ANDERSON
DETROIT & NEWPORT - —Philip R. Anderson, 82, died April 14, 2008 at a Skowhegan hospital. He was born July 25, 1925 in Bangor, a son of J. Walter and Doris (Weed) Anderson. He lived in Newport where he attended Newport schools and later owned and operated Phil’s Dairy. He also was employed as a truck driver for 47 years, retiring from Pottle’s Transport.

He is survived by his sister, Grace Lindsay of Pittsfield; 3 nieces, Pauline Morgan of Kansas City, Missouri, Erlene Frost of Pittsfield and Sandra McBurnie of Denmark; a nephew, Maurice Lindsay of South Bristol. Phil was predeceased by his wife, Priscilla Emery Anderson; a brother, Everett “Andy” Anderson; and a step-son, Richard Crocker.
