OBITUARIES

RALPH E. LIBBY, JR.
HARMONY—Ralph E. Libby, Jr., 79, died December 26, 2002 at a Dover-Foxcroft hospital. He was born August 1, 1923 at Harmony a son of Ralph and Annie (Robb) Libby, Sr. He served in the U. S. Army in New Guinea during WWII. Ralph worked for Farrin Brothers Construction during the summer months and for Sandler Shoe of Harmony during the winter. He loved the outdoors, especially walking his dog, Keisher.

He is survived by his wife, Annie; 5 step-children, Ronald and James McGinley, all of Harmony, Stephen McGinley of Indianna, Margaret Johnston of Clinton and Barbara Gourley of Guilford; 2 sisters, Dot Beckett of Guilford and Mary Jacovelles of Pennsylvania; a sister-in-law, Audrey Libby; 8 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a brother, Leland and 2 sisters, Elizabeth and Reba.

There will be no services at this time. Spring burial will be in the Powers Yard Cemetery, Pittsfield. Memorial donations may be made to the Harmony Ambulance, Harmony, ME 04942. Arrangements by Crosby & Neal Funeral Home, Dexter.
