RALPH P. BROWN
GUILFORD, Ralph P. Brown, 92, died January 6, 2001 at a Dover-Foxcroft hospital. He was born February 22, 1908 in Athens, Maine, son of Eugene and Lottie (Poland) Brown. He graduated from Harmony High School class of 1926. He worked for several years as salesman for a Cushman Bakery and later at the shipyard in Portland as a steel driller, retiring in 1970 as a shoe hand sewer. He served in the US Navy during WWII.

He was predeceased by his wife, Manda (Mattson) Brown in 1996. He is survived by his sister, Ruth Smith of Tilton, NH; a daughter from a previous marriage, Sylvia Amalfitano of Boston; two grandsons, Michael Amalfitano of Florida and Joseph Amalfitano of Saco; a great granddaughter, Taylor Amalfitano of Florida; several cousins.

At his request there will be no public services at this time. Spring burial will be in the family lot in Monson. Those who wish may make donations in his memory to the Harmony Alumni Association, Harmony, ME 04942. Arrangements by Crosby & Neal Funeral Home, Guilford.
