RETA A. LOUGEE
EXETER - Reta A. Lougee, 62, the wife of Rodney D. Lougee, went to be with the Lord, April 25, 2002, at a Bangor Nursing Home. She was born Jan. 6, 1940, in Charleston, the daughter of the late Nelson Amero and her mother, Edna (Mills) Amero of Bangor. She was a graduate of Higgins Classical Institute of Charleston, Class of 1958. She enjoyed being a homemaker, mother, grandmother, and spent many hours with her grandchildren, a time she treasured. A gifted and artistic person, she was capable of creating most anything that came to mind, enjoying painting, crafts, and gardening. She also loved nature and the outdoors, and in her younger years, enjoyed camping and snowmobiling.

She was predeceased by her sisters, Joyce Peppinger of Montana and Thelma Mitchell of California. Surviving are her husband, Rodney; two sons, Randy Lougee and his wife, Lori of Exeter and Rodd Lougee and his wife, Erika of Montville; a daughter, Rhonda Hartley and her fianc‚e, Daniel True of Pittsfield; five grandchildren, Nathaniel Hartley and Breanna True of Pittsfield, Courtney and Chelsea Lougee of Exeter and Christina Lougee of Montville; two sisters, Mrs. Ernest (Vivian) Starbird of Carmel and Shirley Floyd of Budd Lake, N.J.; two half sisters, Mrs. Harriet McKenzie of Corinth and Helen Coburn of San Diego, Calif.; two half brothers, George Veino of Southgate, Mich. and Gerald Veino of Loudon, Tenn.

Graveside memorial services will be held 2 p.m. Monday, April 29, 2002, at the Exeter Mills Cemetery, Exeter. Arrangements are be Thompson Funeral Home, 17 Hudson Rd., Corinth.
