OBITUARIES

RITA A. BATES
DOVER-FOXCROFT - Rita A. Bates died Nov. 24, 2005, at her residence. She was born in Dexter, the daughter of Albert and Pauline (LaChance) Folsom. Rita had worked at Dexter Shoe Company for many years. She was a devoted daughter, doting on her mother who recently passed away at age 102. She enjoyed all animals, especially birds; she loved to cook, and was an avid vegetable and flower gardener. Rita was a loving mother and grandmother.

She is survived by six children, Danny Hutchins and his wife, Ginger, of Guilford, Hal Hutchins and his wife, Karen, of St. Albans, Diana Drillen of Brewer, Judy MacPheters and her husband, Dennis, of Plymouth, Linda Macomber and her husband, William, of Dover-Foxcroft and Jerry Colbry and his wife, Janet, of Dover-Foxcroft; a sister, Barbara Spizuoco of Ripley; 15 grandchildren, Randy Hutchins, Sam Hutchins, Robert Hutchins, Craig Hutchins, Cory Hutchins, Ryan Hutchins, Joey Drillen, Charlie Drillen, Jill MacPh-eters, Jamie MacPheters; a very special granddaughter, Meagan Macomber, Bill Mac-omber, Ben Macomber, Dustin Colbry and Darren Colbry; 17 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a sister, Eva Morin; and a brother, Linwood Folsom.

Friends are invited to call 6-8 p.m. Monday, Nov. 28, at the Lary Funeral Home, Dover-Foxcroft, where funeral services will be conducted 11 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 29, with the Rev. Dan Bollen officiating. Those who wish may make memorial contributions to the Bangor Humane Society, 693B Mount Hope Ave., Bangor, ME 04401.
