ROBERT N. MARCIA
PITTSFIELD—Robert N. Marcia, 78, died July 6, 2008 at a Pittsfield hospital. He was born November 4, 1929 in Winslow, a son of Norman E. and Florence (Simpson) Marcia. He graduated from Winslow High School, Class of 1947 and served in the United States Air Force during the Berlin airlift. Robert served a number of years as a Maine State Trooper and later retired as a supervisor from Sappi in Hinckley. He was a member of the Pittsfield Elks and the Penobscot Lodge AF & AM.

He is survived by his wife, Julia Marcia of Pittsfield; 3 children, Penny Dana of Pittsfield, Rob Marcia of Norridgewock, Susie and husband Ken MacDonald of Bowdoinham; a sister, Norma Eggleston of Skowhegan; grandchildren and great grandchildren; as well as an aunt and uncle, Raymond and Yvette McCaslin of Winslow. He was predeceased by his parents and a sister, Shirley McGee.

A graveside committal service will be held 3 P.M. Friday, July 11th at the Riverside Cemetery, Newport with officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Sebasticook Valley Hospital, 447 North Main Street, Pittsfield, ME 04967. Arrangements are by Crosby & Neal, Newport.
