OBITUARIES

ROBERT W. MCGRATH, SR.
GREENVILLE, Robert W. McGrath, Sr., 77, a 30 year resident of Greenville, died October 14, 2007 at the Franklin Memorial Hospital in Farmington. He was born in Boston, MA, June 18, 1930, son of James F. and Mary Madlyn McGrath. He worked 25 years for Alis Chalmars Company (Semans) in Hyde Park, MA as a foreman. He later started his own business as a private investigator, becoming President/Owner of Norward Security in Norwood, MA with over 200 employees. He was well known and respected by many in the field of law enforcement. After semi-retiring, he moved to Greenville, ME. Bob loved animals and the great outdoors, fishing, hunting and the New England Patriots.

He is survived by his wife of 20 years, Deborah (Beedy) McGrath; 2 sons, Robert McGrath Jr., and Richard McGrath; a stepson, Ryan Bell; 6 grandchildren, Dan and Chad McGrath, and Kattie, Joey, Cody and Nicholas Bell; 2 great grandchildren, Venessia, and Tylor McGrath; a brother, Warren McGrath; many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a brother, James McGrath and a stepdaughter, Carol Bell. The family would like to thank C.A. Dean Hospital and Nursing Home in Greenville for all their years of commitment and caring, and to the Edgewood Rehab and Nursing Facility, and the Franklin Memorial Hospital of Farmington for his final days of care and comfort.

Graveside services will be held at 1 PM, Friday, October 19, 2007, at the Greenville Cemetery, with the Rev. Fr. Richard Malo officiating. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Guide Dog Foundation for the Blind, 371 East Jericho Tpk., Smithton, NY 11787. Arrangements by Crosby & Neal, Greenville.
