OBITUARIES

ROBYN L. TATE-BROWN
CORINTH - Robyn L. Tate-Brown, 46, the wife of Jeffery Scott Brown, died March 30, 2008, at a Bangor hospital. She was born Dec. 1, 1961, in Bangor, the daughter of Oscar and Bernadine Tate Jr. She was a graduate of Central High School, Class of 1980; Wilma Boyd Airline Stewardess School, in 1981; and later attended Pierre's Cosmetology School, graduating in 1993. In addition to her hairdressing, Robyn drove school buses for Tate's Bus Service and later for Cormier's Bus Service for five years, worked for Tate's Strawberry Farm many years and with her mother, started Robyn's Nest Fabrics, Dover-Foxcroft, in 1983. Robyn was an avid athlete and enjoyed 10-pin bowling. She was a member of St. Thomas Catholic Church and the American Miniature Horse Association. She raised miniature horses and founded the Maine Miniature Horse Association. She was also a Mary Kay Consultant.

Robyn loved her family very much and in addition to her husband of 23 years and her parents, are four children, Billy Scott, Lisa Marie, Joseph Robert and Benjamin Tate; a granddaughter, Emily Juli-Ann Champney, all of Corinth; a sister, Tracy of Corinth; a nephew, Christopher Webb of Corinth; a sister-in-law, Juli Kimball and her husband, Steve, of Garland, and their son, Colby James Kimball; a brother-in-law, James Brown and his wife, Bonnie, of Lexington, Mass., and their children, Garrett, Jonathan and Douglas; her mother-in-law and father-in-law, Alton and Yvonne Brown of Dover-Foxcroft; a special cousin, Albert Tate; special aunts, Marie La Vertue of Zepherhills, Fla., and Ruth and Darrell Townsend of Hudson; several aunts, uncles, cousins; and special friends, Floyd Rockwell of Corinth, Barbara Rozelle of Levant, Robin Smith of Corinth, and many friends in New Hampshire.

A Mass of Christian burial for Robyn L. Tate-Brown will be held 10 a.m. Friday at St. Thomas Catholic Church, Dover-Foxcroft, with the Rev. James Robichaud officiating. Friends may call 7-9 p.m. Thursday at Thompson Funeral Home, 17 Hudson Road, Corinth. Spring burial will be at Corinthian Cemetery, Corinth. Those who wish may make contributions in memory of Robyn for the benefit of her children to Robyn Tate-Brown Memorial Fund, care of Maine Savings Federal Credit Union, Main Street, Corinth, ME 04427.
