OBITUARIES
RUTH A. BELL
CORINNA - Ruth A. Bell, 75, the wife of the late Ronald V. Bell, died Aug. 29, 2006, in Pittsfield after a long illness. She was born Jan. 25, 1931, in Guilford, the daughter of George and Elsie (Grant) Hill. She was a graduate of Foxcroft Academy, Class of 1949, and had been a former employee of Eastland Woolen Mill in Corinna. Ruth was a member of the American Legion Auxillary. She was an avid golfer and loved camping, playing cards and working in her garden.
She is survived by three sons, Jay of Corinna, Ross of Newport and Todd of Sanford; a daughter, Julie Swett and her husband, Rodney, of Clinton; four grandsons and three granddaughters. Ruth was predeceased by a son, Kevin.
Graveside memorial services will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 2, at the Corinna Center Cemetery, Corinna. Arrangements are by the Thompson Funeral Home, 30 St. Albans Road, Corinna.
