OBITUARIES
RUTH CANTIN LEWISTON - Ruth Cantin, went to her Heavenly Home to be with her Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, March 15, 2006. She was born May 23 to the late Charles and Esther Foss of Dover-Foxcroft. Ruth was educated in the Dover-Foxcroft public schools as well as at home. She graduated from Bangor College of Cosmetology. She was known as "Mimmie" to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. They so enjoyed eating her home "Mimmie Bread" and "Mimmie Muffins." Ruth was a great prayer warrior and loved to share her faith
with everyone. She faithfully attended church at the First Assembly of God in Lewiston, where she was an active member. Ruth was a great cook and enjoyed her flower gardens. She was predeceased by her parents, three brothers, three sisters, a son-in-law, Al; a son, Lawrence; and a daughter, Dianne Bowden.
Ruth is survived by her loving husband of 30 years, Phil; daughter, Marilyn; three grandchildren, Cathy, Sarah Mae, Andrew and his wife, Janet; five great-grand-children, Whitney, Courtney, Makenzie, Jillian, Emma Rose; a
brother, Charles Jr.; and son-in-law, Rodney Bowden.
Family and friends may call 10-11 a.m. Saturday, March 18 at the First Assembly of God Church, 70 Hogan Rd., Lewiston. A celebration of her life will follow calling hours at the church. Burial will take place 10 a.m. Monday, March 20 at the new Maine Veterans Cemetery, Mount Vernon Road, Augusta. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the First Assembly of God Church. Arrangements are under the care of Funeral Alternatives LLC, 25 Tampa St., Lewiston. Condolences may be expressed at www.funeralalternatives.net
