RUTH (GOUNDRY) CAMPBELL
SANGERVILLE - Ruth (Goundry) Campbell, 96, died March 13, 2007 at a Dover-Foxcroft nursing home. She was born May 4, 1910 at Wellington a daughter of Luther and Ethel (Arabella) Goundry. She graduated from Harmony High School, Class of 1928; and the Central Maine Medical Center School of Nursing in 1930. Ruth then served her nursing residency in New York City. She served for many years at hospitals in Guilford and Dover-Foxcroft, retiring in 1978 as Night Charge Nurse at Mayo Regional Hospital.

She is survived by her husband of 73 years, Clarence C. Campbell; a son Keith and wife Nancy Campbell all of Sangerville; a sister in law, Eleanor Huff of Wellington; 3 grandchildren, Ann Marie, Laura and Jacob Campbell; many nieces and nephews. Ruth was predeceased by an infant daughter, Brenda Sue; 2 sisters, Phyllis Parker and Susie Buzzell; as well as a brother, Elbridge Goundry.

Funeral services will be held 2 PM Thursday, March 15th, at Crosby & Neal, 21 Oak Street, Guilford, with the Rev. Ray Beless officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home from 1 P.M. until the time of services. Spring burial will be in Chadbourne Cemetery, Harmony.
