OBITUARIES

RUTH P. JOHNSON
GREENVILLE, Ruth P. Johnson, 94, died April 1 2006, at C.A. Dean Nursing Home in Greenville. She was born November 11, 1911, in Whitinsville, Mass., daughter of Herbert and Emily (Osgood) Parker. She moved to Greenville with her husband, “Gus”, in 1946. She was an active member of the Union Church, the Ready Workers, and sang in the church choir. She worked at the Greenville A & P, and was known as “Nona” to the Cota children. She loved summering at Wilson Pond and cooking and baking for her family.

She is survived by 3 nephews and their spouses, John Keevan of Mass., William Keevan of NH, and Thomas Keevan of Mass.; several great nieces and nephews; and will be missed by her extended family, Kyle and Jeremy Cota. She was predeceased by her husband, Andrew “Gus” Johnson; 3 sisters, Alice Keevan, Emily Catherine Warfield, and Constance Parker, and a special niece, Alma Kachnowicz.
