SANDRA L. SWANSON
SEBAGO LAKE - Sandra L. Swanson, 70, of St. Petersburg, Fla., died Monday Sept. 26, 2005 at her summer residence at Sebago Lake. She was born in Boston, Massachusetts, the daughter of Everett and Eileen Nash.
She taught in Pinellas County, Fla., for 30 years, teaching at Northside Christian School for 10 years She earned her BA in music and education at Barrington Bible College in Rhode Island, and her masters at Buffalo State Teachers college in New York. A member of Starky Road Baptist Church, Sandra sang in the choir in
years past when the originating church was called Calvary Baptist Church. During the summer months she attended Windham Baptish Church. She met her husband Robert Swanson at South Portland High School in 1949, then graduated from Chevy Chase High School in Maryland.
She is survived by her husband Robert of 47 years; sons, Mark and David Swanson; daughters, Carol Harvat and Kathy Rodriquez; and a sister, Susan Torode. Her life evolved around her children, and grandchildren, Ashley and Ginny Swanson, Nicolas and Nathan Rodriquez, and Blake and Brooke Swanson.
The funeral will be held 11 a.m., Friday, Sept. 30 at Forest City Cemetery in South Portland. Arrangement made by the Hobbs Funeral Home, 230 Cottage Rd., South Portland.
