SHELDON M. FLEWELLING
DEXTER, Sheldon M. Flewelling, 82, died July 22, 2006, at Mayo Regional Hospital in Dover-Foxcroft. He was born June 2, 1924, in Sangerville, son of Thomas and Effie (King) Flewelling. He served in the US Army during WWII in France, Italy, Germany, Africa and Austria, and was awarded several medals including the Bronze Star.

He is survived by his wife, Jean (Bonneau) Flewelling of Dexter; a son, Dwight and his wife, Lorraine Flewelling of MA, and a daughter, Diane and her husband, Robert Lake of MA; 5 grandchildren, Dwight Flewelling Jr., AnneMarie Moorehouse, Timothy Flewelling, Shawn Lynch, and Kelly Lynch Picardi; 8 great grandchildren; a brother, Thomas Flewelling and his wife, Lois of Oregon; and a sister, Opal Ireland of Dexter; several nieces and nephews.
