SHIRLEE ANN MCKAY
WEST GARDINER & DEXTER—Shirlee Ann McKay, 54, died January 14, 2007 at an Augusta hospital. She was born April 6, 1952 at Dexter, a daughter of Malcolm and Joyce (Higgins) Brown. She had been employed at Healthtex and at Augusta area nursing homes, most recently as a CNA at Maine General Hospital in Augusta, until her retirement due to failing health.

Shirlee was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary Post #4 and the Elks Club of Gardiner.

She is survived by her mother of Dexter; 2 sisters, Debbie and husband, Kenny Irish of Hartland, and Karen and husband, Paul Moulton of Corinna; a brother, David Brown of Dexter; her fiancé, Dana Foster of West Gardiner; special aunt, Inez Brown and a special cousin, Cindy Estabrook, both of Winthrop; special nieces, nephews, and many friends; as well as her kitty named Tinker Bell. She was predeceased by her father in 1973.

There will be no services at this time. A spring committal service will be held at the West Garland Cemetery at a time to be announced. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Diabetes Association, P. O. Box 2680, N. Canton, OH 44720.

DEXTER - A graveside committal service for Shirlee A. McKay, who died January 14, 2007, will be held 1 PM Saturday, June 2nd, at West Garland Cemetery. A reception will be held following the committal at the Corinna Fire Department Annex. Arrangements are by Crosby & Neal, Dexter.
