SYLVIA L. CROSSMAN
GREENVILLE - Sylvia L. Crossman, 83, wife of Walter Crossman Jr., died Jan. 3, 2004, at a local hospital. She was born Jan. 18, 1920, in Bangor, the daughter of Harry E. and Murtina (Doughty) Inman. Mrs. Crossman had worked as a waitress for many years and was a long time member of OES. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother, and especially devoted to her family.

She is survived by her husband, Walter of Greenville; a son, Carlton W. Crossman of Gray; two daughters, Muriel C. Collins of North Branford, Conn., and Sarah Helen Drexel of Greenville; a brother, Carl Inman of Texas; two sisters, Christina Ward of Greenville, Hildreth Crosby of Palmyra; three grandchildren, including a special grandson, Colby Drexel; three great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by two brothers, Frank and Carlton Inman.

Graveside services at the family lot in the Greenville Cemetery will be announced in the spring. Those who wish may make memorial contributions to C.A. Dean Nursing Home, Pritham Ave., Greenville, ME 04441. Arrangements are in the care of the Lary Funeral Home, Dover-Foxcroft.
