TERESA F. GABARRO
DOVER-FOXCROFT - I am Teresa F. Gabarro and have passed peacefully away Jan. 22, 2006, after 83 beautiful years of life. Born Oct. 15, 1922, in Worcester, Mass. I was raised by my mother, Anna and father, Tony, along with my sister, Frances Erickson, now 93, Anna Whitmore and Henry Saunders who both predeceased me. After graduating from Framingham State Teacher's College with a degree in home economics, I met my husband Rafael Gabarro.

We raised six children, Ralph of Dover-Foxcroft, Anne of Webster, N.Y., Margaret of Coxackie, N.Y., Ame of Denver, Colo., Peter of Patterson, N.Y. and Beth of Brewster, N.Y. My children have been joined by spouses, Dorothy Gabarro, Robert Kurek, Gerry Griffin, Jesse Nichols, Deborah Gabarro and Mark Tyler. I devoted my life to raising my children and enjoying my grandchildren and could not think of a more meaningful way to journey through life. I will miss my grandchildren, Seth and Tony Gabarro, Christopher, Josh and Peter Kurek, Alex, Liam and Patrick Griffin, Jessie and Ben Nichols and Krista Gabarro; and my great- grandson, Simon Kurek. Rafael, I loved our retirement years in Lowell. They followed many memorable summers vacationing at nearby Lake Escutarsis, where we saw our children grow and their families enjoy the peace and beauty of Maine. Beyond my family, life's memories included the Girl Scouts and my recognition as a Golden Eaglet recipient. I loved my Garden Club, time as a Brownie leader, my craft work, knitting, sewing, baking, home economics teaching and especially being at home for my children.

Friends are invited to call 3-5:30 p.m. Friday, Jan. 27, at the Lary Funeral Home, Dover-Foxcroft. A memorial Mass will be conducted 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 28, at St. Thomas Catholic Church, Dover-Foxcroft, with Fr. James Robichaud, officiating.
