THEODORE E. THOMPSON
PITTSFIELD, Theodore E. Thompson, 66 died August 9, 2002 at a Pittsfield hospital. Ted was born January 17, 1936, son of Freeman and Ruth (Palmer) Thompson. He attended school in Strong and graduated from Williams High School in Oakland, class of 1955. He worked for J. R. Cianchette, Pittsfield Coal and Oil, Friend & Friend Oil Company, and since 1982 was self-employed at Thompson Oil Burner Service. He was a former member of the Pittsfield JCs and the Drift Busters Snowmobile Club. He enjoyed traveling, especially to the Maine Coast and Connecticut to visit with his children and grandchildren. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and friend. He was always committed to helping others.

He is survived by his wife, Margaret (Kinney) Thompson of Pittsfield; 2 sons and their wives, Scott and Susan Thompson and Eric and Julie Thompson all of South Windsor, Conn.; a daughter and her husband, Tammy and Jeffrey Vuocolo of Suffield, Conn.; 6 grandchildren, Kelsey, Ryan, Erica, Emily, Benjamin and Olivia; a brother and his wife, Milton and Naomi Nile of Plymouth; 4 sisters, Patricia and her husband, Ernest Boucher of Waterville, Beverly Willey of Rome, Maine, Doris Nichols of Canaan and Maxine Nutt of Holden; 2 aunts, Ethel Weeks of Wilton and Lena Taylor of Farmington; other caring relatives include, Ida Curtis of Palmyra, Opal and Carl Gray of Newport, Wanda and Maynard Dahlgren of Pittsfield and Ronald and Debra Kinney of Avon, Conn.; several nieces and nephews; special friends, Jean and Roger Thompson and Jerry and Marion Conners all of Pittsfield.

Memorial services will be held 2 PM Tuesday, August 13, 2002, at the Crosby & Neal Funeral Home, 117 Main St., Newport. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Make-A-Wish Foundation, 87 Elm Street, Suite 203, Camden, ME 04843.
