VERA FELKER WENTWORTH Mrs. Wentworth taught in public schools in Ripley, Dexter, and Dixmont, Gloucester, Mass., Warner Robins, Ga., South China and East Vassalboro, Maine, and Southington, Conn., before retiring in 1976. She taught for 49 years. Mrs. Wentworth was a member of Ripley United Methodist Church and was also a member of the Ladies Aid for 62 years and was a life member of National Education Association. After retiring, Vera, at 70, volunteered her services as a pianist at seven schools in Southington, CT playing for all occasions. She was predeceased by her son, William "Billy" Felker; a stepson, Earl Wentworth; by her first husband, Neil Felker and by her second husband, Harold Wentworth; a grandson, Donald Felker; two brothers, Linwood "Tim" Haseltine and John Haseltine; and two sisters, Aletha Heminway and Mary Dore. She is survived by her children, Joanne Skidmore of Bushnell, FL and Ronald Felker of East Greenwich, R.I.; six grandchildren, Douglas Felker of California, Ronna Cabral, Michelle Mann, Michael Felker, Cindy Wentworth and Douglas Wentworth; seven great-grandchildren, Shane, Sara and Sierra Felker, Danielle and Alexandria Wentworth, Bradley Cabral and Kiera; several nieces and nephews; and by her sister, Nellie Brazier of Ripley. A graveside committal service will be held 10 AM Wednesday, July 9th, at the family lot, Morses Corner Cemetery, Corinna, with Pastor Lois Field officiating.
