VERLE B. HUTCHISON
CORINNA & STETSON Verle B. Hutchison, 68, died unexpectedly June 11, 2001. She was born December 25, 1932 at Montville the daughter of Howard and Lettie (Burnham) Peavey. Verle served as town clerk for the Town of Stetson, and was a member of the Stetson Union Church, and the church ladies aide. She was employed for over 10 years as executive secretary to the Chancellor of the University of Maine System, retiring in 1987. She was also a member of the Corinna American Legion Auxiliary. Verle moved to Corinna 4 years ago, and attended the Pleasant Street Christian Church.

She is survived by her husband, Richard "Hutch" Hutchison of Corinna; 2 daughters, Luanna and husband Neil Hansberger of Ruckersville, VA, Joyce and Judson Stockton of Manchester, NH; 3 brothers, Keith and wife Mary Peavey, Alexis Peavey, Sheldon and wife Barbara Peavey, all of Kingston, Mass; and a sister, Alice Ferriera of Plympton, Mass.; 8 grandchildren.

Friends may call from 5-8 P.M. Thursday at Crosby & Neal Funeral Chapel, 68 Exeter Road, Corinna. Funeral services will be held 2 P.M. Friday at Pleasant Street Christian Church, Corinna, with the Rev. Edward Jaworski officiating. Burial will be in Clark's Hill Cemetery, Stetson.
