Veronica (Ronnie) Ann Ronco She married Reginald Ronco on February 24, 1946 in Newark. Ronnie worked in the banking industry until she retired in 1977 and moved to Maine with her husband. Her hobbies included needlework, playing the organ, planting flowers, and doing projects around the house. She also enjoyed traveling to her family’s camp at Moxie Pond and to Myrtle Beach, S.C., where she and Reggie wintered for many happy years. While living in Abbot, Ronnie attended Abbot Evangelical Free Church. Throughout her life, she was comforted by Isaiah 26:3, which says, “You will keep in perfect peace those whose minds are steadfast, because they trust in You.” Ronnie was the cherished matriarch of her family, consisting of her 3 sons and their families. Her eldest son, David, is married to Dawn. They have two sons, Ben and Jesse, and live in Raleigh, N.C. Mark, her middle son, is married to Lisa, and their children are Emily, Josh, and his wife Allison, who all live in Kansas City, Mo. Ronnie’s youngest son, Tom, is married to Jan and they reside in Abbot. Ronnie was also loved by many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her 4 sisters and 2 brothers. A service celebrating Ronnie’s rich life will be held Saturday, May 11, 2013 from 2 to 4 PM at the Abbot Evangelical Free Church. All friends are welcome and encouraged to attend.
