VIOLET M. SMALL
EXETER – Violet M. Small, 104, formerly of Tibbetts Road, died July 5, 2003 at a Dexter healthcare facility. She was born April 10, 1899 at Ipswich, England, a daughter of Enoch and Alma (Cocrell) Petchey. At the age of 10 she moved with her family to Canada. On November 7, 1919, she married Herman Small of Monticello, and made their home there raising potatoes. They moved to Exeter in 1928. She was a devoted member of the Exeter Full Gospel Church, and belonged to the Exeter Ladies Aid.

She is survived by a daughter, Mavis Bragg Hughes and her husband Harold of Exeter; 3 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, 7 great great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband in 1991; her son-in-law, Herbert Bragg in 1986, and her grandson, the Rev. Paul Fickett in 1989.

Friends may call from 2-4 P.M. Tuesday at the Crosby & Neal Funeral Chapel, 68 Exeter Road, Corinna, where funeral services will be held 10 A.M. Wednesday, July 9th. Burial will be in the family lot, Exeter Center Cemetery.
