Virginia Emma Dyer
CORINNA & BANGOR – Virginia Emma Dyer, 88, died December 2, 2013 at a Bangor hospital. She was born September 22, 1925 in Framingham, Mass., a daughter of Jacob and Ruth (Gray) Bemis. When she was 1 year old she moved with her family to Corinna. She graduated from Corinna Union Academy, Class of 1944, and had been employed at Keyes Fiber. Virginia enjoyed gardening and quilting. She was a past member of Twilight Grange in Corinna.

She is survived by her sister, Evelyn Young of Bangor; a step-daughter Darlene Scott of CT; a sister in law, Katherine “Kay” Nichols of Dexter; step-grandchildren; nieces and nephews; and her former caregiver, Patricia Johnston of Pittsfield.

She was predeceased by her husband, Earl; 3 brothers, Jacob, Jr., Elmer and Stanley Bemis; and a daughter Patricia.

Graveside committal services will be held in the spring at Morses Corner Cemetery, Corinna. Arrangements are by Crosby & Neal Chapel, 68 Exeter Road, Corinna.
