VIRIGINIA THIBAULT
NEWPORT – Virginia Thibault, 85, of Pineview Apartments, died October 14, 2006 at a Hartland nursing home. She was born October 23, 1920 at Cambridge, Mass. a daughter of Adrian and Mary (Benoit) Desillier. On January 9, 1943 she married Albert “Jerry” Thibault. He predeceased her April 10, 1991. She had been employed as a practical nurse in a mental health institution, Chandler’s Nursing Home in Pittsfield, co-managed the Newport Inn with her husband, and worked at the Crosby & Neal Funeral Home in Newport. Virginia was a member of the Newport Women’s Club and worked diligently with the Friends of the Newport Library.

She is survived by one son and his wife, Albert “Bert”, Jr. and Anne Thibault of St. Albans; 2 daughters, Carol Thibault of Newport, Mary and husband Joseph Maione of North Attleboro, MA; a niece raised by Jerry and Virginia, Victoria Morrison of Georgia; 2 brothers, Arthur Desillier of Florida, and Adrian Desillier, Jr. of Ellingham, MA; 2 sisters, Rose Ann Knowles of Florida, and Blanche Pecci of Georgia; 3 grandchildren, Erin Brousseau and Joey Maione, both of North Attleboro, MA; and Nicholas Thibault of St. Albans; 1 great grandson, Adam Brousseau.
