Wanda Lee Beland
NEWPORT – Wanda Lee Beland, 64, passed away January 5, 2013 at her Newport residence. She was born December 17, 1948 in Washington, D.C., a daughter of James and Edith (Allen) Duckworth.

She was a member of the Jubilee Family Worship Center in Newport.

Wanda is survived by her husband, Romeo of Newport; 2 daughters, Tamara Beland of Newport, Laura and husband Andrei Mellits of Levant; 2 brothers, Charles and wife Norma Duckworth, James and wife Iris Duckworth, both of Maryland; 2 sisters, Sandra and husband Donald Walls of Maryland, and Glenda Smith of North Carolina; 2 grandchildren, Reece and Romeo Mellits; many beloved nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held 11 A.M. Friday, January 11th, at the Jubilee Family Worship Center, Elm Street, Newport, with the Rev. Scott Black officiating. Visitation will be held from 10:30 A.M. until the time of services. Spring burial will be in Riverside Cemetery, Newport. Arrangements are by Crosby & Neal, Newport.
