WAYNE A. DONALDSON
ETNA - Wayne A. Donaldson, 64, died unexpectedly February 2, 2001 while ice fishing at Branch Lake in Ellsworth. He was born February 26, 1936 in Etna the son of Stanley and Bernice (Cochrane) Donaldson, as the 5th generation of Donaldson's to be born in the Town of Etna. He graduated from Newport High School, Class of 1954. Wayne retired from the Teamster's Union, South Portland Local 340, as a construction worker. He was a past member of the Odd Fellows Lodge in Etna and will be remembered as an avid sportsman.

On February 3, 1991, he married the former Barbara J. Collins of Skowhegan. In addition to his wife of Etna, he is survived by 1 son and his wife, Michael and Martha Donaldson of Thorndike; 2 step-daughters, Marlene Anderson of Skowhegan, and Evelyn Curtis of Pittsfield; 1 brother, Richard and wife Linda Donaldson of Etna; 2 sisters, Donna and husband William Moore of Saugus, MA; Pamala and husband David Buck of Etna; many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a brother, Warren Donaldson.

Friends may call from 6 8:30 P.M. Tuesday at Crosby & Neal Funeral Home, 117 Main Street, Newport, where funeral services will be held 10 A.M. Wednesday, February 7th, with Pastor Al H.
