WILLETTE SCHMIDT
PALMYRA - Willette Schmidt, 73, died November 17, 2008 at Mercy Hospital, Portland. She was born September 7, 1935 in Lubec a daughter of Ralph and Effie (Dean) Young. She worked as a nurse's aide but retired as a greeter at the Palmyra WalMart.

She is survived by her husband of 50 years, Robert Schmidt of Palmyra; 5 sons, Richard and wife Barbara Young, Robert and Lucille Brown, Ronald Brown, and Thomas Schmidt, all of Palmyra; Frank and wife Kathy Brown of New Hampshire; 6 daughters, Barbara Dearden of Massachusetts, Pauline and husband Matthew Brown of Palmyra, Helena and husband Ronald Boyd of Virginia, Sheila Schmidt, Lily Brown, Willette and husband Robert Kirk, all of Massachusetts; many grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Memorial services were held 10 AM Thursday, November 20th, at Crosby & Neal, 117 Main Street, Newport, with Deacon Frederick Harrigan officiating. Those who wish may sign an online guest register and leave written tributes at www.CrosbyNeal.com.
