WILLIAM BARTON WOODWARD
PARKMAN, William Barton Woodward, 86, of 1270 State Highway 150, Parkman, Maine, died peacefully after a long illness on December 5, 2006, at Mayo Regional Hospital in Dover-Foxcroft. He was born in Syracuse, New York on December 25, 1919, the son of Edward S. Woodward and Margaret W. Peirce. He resided in Derry, NH for a number of years. His passion was the love of language; he was a prolific writer of prose and poetry. He also owned a business dealing in and restoring fine antiques. He was predeceased by a brother, Edward, and a sister, Virginia.

Surviving are his brothers, Joseph P. Woodward of Laconia, NH, Kent P. Woodward of Port Charlotte, FL, Harvey Feinauer of East Derry, NH, Timothy Feinauer of Loveland, CO; and sisters, Marcia W. Gamache of Concord, NH and Judith Hamer of Derry, NH; his daughters Louise P.W. Heath of Easley, SC, Heidi L. Hartwell of Derry, NH; a son Brent B. Woodward of No. Stonington, CT; four grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. He also leaves behind his most cherished and loyal companion, Constance E. Patterson of Presque Isle, ME; special friends, Rick Eberbach, Ronald Watson and Joe Vernott; and his beloved dog Bawney.

Funeral services will be held 1:00 PM, Saturday, December 9, 2006, at Crosby & Neal, 21 Oak Street in Guilford, with the Rev. David Kelly officiating. Spring burial will be in the Pingree Center Cemetery in Parkman. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to Foxcroft Veterinary Service, P.O. Box 418, Dover-Foxcroft, ME 04426.
