WILLIAM SEE, JR.
PALMYRA & FORT MYERS BEACH, FL – William See, Jr., 84, died after a short illness July 29, 2005 at a Bangor hospital surrounded by his family. He was born December 14, 1920 at Valhalla, New York a son of William and Caroline (Hill) See, Sr. A veteran of World War II, he served as a flight engineer with the 8th Air Force, 95th Bomb Group. He was shot down March 6, 1944 and was a prisoner of war for 17 months. After the war he owned See-moor Nursing Home in Bedford, NY for 20 years,

before moving to Maine. William was predeceased by his first wife, Barbara (Davis) See. He is survived by his wife of 25 years, Sheila (Burke) See of Fort Myers Beach, FL and Palmyra; a son Dan and wife Nancy of Bucksport; daughter Martha and husband Willis Millett of Pittsfield; a son Mark of King Ferry, NY; 2 grandsons, Wesley and Tyler Millett, both of St. Albans; a great grand-daughter, Alexis; as well as nieces and nephews. Friends may call at the Crosby & Neal Funeral Home, 117 Main Street, Newport, from 6- 8 PM Tuesday, August 2nd. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home 1 PM Wednesday with Pastor Al H. Worden officiating. Interment will be in Arlington National Cemetery. The family requests that no flowers be sent please. Donations may be made to the Salvation Army. Envelopes will be available at Crosby & Neal Funeral Home.
