Winnifred M. "Winnie" Daigle
WINSLOW AND DEXTER- Winnifred M. “Winnie” Daigle, 86, died June 14, 2012, at Maine General Medical Center in Waterville. She was born in Dexter, February 21, 1926,daughter of Joseph and Annie Clukey.

She graduated from N.H. Fay High School class of 1945. In her younger years she had been employed by Dexter Shoe Company and later as a cook and waitress. She very much enjoyed traveling with her daughter, gardening and bird watching. In her later years she could be found watching tennis by the hour, especially her favorite player, Roger Federer.

She is survived by one daughter, Sylvia Daigle of Winslow, who she had lived with for the last five years; and many nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her husband, Leon Daigle in 1995;five brothers, Nazier Clukey Sr., Nelson Clukey, Angus Clukey, Galen Clukey, and Fernald Clukey; three sisters, Sylvia (Clukey) Payne, Joyce Clukey, and Lily Clukey.

The family would like to thank the CCU nurses of Maine General Medical Center and especially her doctor, Dr. Andrew Rice.

Graveside services will be held 11 AM, Wednesday, June 20,2012, at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in Dexter, with the Rev. Fr. Paul Murray officiating. In lieu of flowers donations may be sent to the Waterville Humane Society, 11 Webb Road, Waterville, ME 04901.
