OBITUARIES

YOLANDE G. SEVERANCE
DOVER-FOXCROFT - Yolande G. Severance, 76, wife of Herbert O. Severance, died Oct. 30, 2006, at a local nursing home. She was born July 25, 1930, in Dover-Foxcroft, the daughter of Bennie and Madeline (Gould) Robinson. A graduate of Foxcroft Academy, she served with the U.S. Army. Yolande had retired from Merrill Bank after many years. She enjoyed spending summers at Sebec Lake and wintering in Myrtle Beach, S.C.

She is survived by her husband of 51 years, Herb of Dover-Foxcroft; a daughter, Sheryl Williams and her husband, Cullen and their children, Chelsey, Carley and Casey, all of Hampden; a brother, Bennie Robinson of Taunton, Mass.; three sisters, Donna Mehrens and her husband, Dan, of Spokane, Wash., Marlene Collier of Land O' Lakes, Fla., Yvonne Brown and her husband, Al, of Dover-Foxcroft; several nieces and nephews. Yolande will be remembered by special friends, Ted and Jane Marshall of Dover-Foxcroft. She was predeceased by a son, Scott; and a brother, Merton "Bud" Robinson.

Friends are invited to call from noon until time of memorial service 1 p.m. Friday, Nov. 3, at the Lary Funeral Home, Dover-Foxcroft, with the Rev. Neil Gastonguay officiating. Burial will be in the family lot at Dover Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, One Main St., Suite 300, Topsham, ME 04086-1240.
