YVONNE L. (MICHAUD) BENNETT
GUILFORD, Yvonne L. (Michaud) Bennett, 78, died May 25, 2005, at Ross Manor Nursing Home in Bangor. She was born June 19, 1926, in Sangerville, the daughter of Aley Michaud and Mertie (Hamilton) Michaud Ducette. Yvonne attended Guilford schools and graduated from Guilford High School. She graduated from business school and worked as a computer operator for many years for the Guilford Woolen Mill and later for Guilford of Maine, retiring February 28, 1991. She loved camping, fishing, family gatherings, and getting together with friends for great meals.

She adored her two nephews, Terry and Gerald and their families; her four step-sisters children and her husband’s nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, her step-father, James Ducette; her husband, Eddie Bennett; sister, Mildred and brother-in-law, Clayton Tucker; 3 of her step-sisters, Dianna (Ducette) and her husband, James Andrews, Madeline (Ducette) and her husband, Archie Atwater, Nellie (Ducette) Priest Webb and her husband, Ernest Webb and a brother-in-law, Chandler Gould.

She is survived by a step-sister, Maxine (Ducette) Gould Mitchell and her husband Mark Mitchell of Tuscaloosa, Alabama; two nephews, Terry Tucker and his family of Massachusetts, and Gerald Tucker and his family of Florida; many other nieces and nephews, who are scattered all over the U.S.; special friends, Marvin, Dee, Adam, Steve and Mary Covel and Steve’s mother, Ruth.

Friends may call from 6 to 8 PM, Thursday, May 26, 2005, at the Crosby & Neal Funeral Home, 21 Oak Street in Guilford. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM, Friday, May 27th at the funeral home, with the Rev. David Kelly officiating. Burial will be in the Lawn Cemetery in Guilford. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Guilford Fire Department, P.O. Box 355, Guilford, ME 04443, or to the charity of your choice.
